Return & Refund Policy

Returns

Upon receipt of your order, please check the contents of your package(s) immediately. If you discover a problem with your order, you must contact us within 30 days of receiving your shipment. Contacting us outside of this 30-day window might result in a 25% return fee or void the ability to return the item(s). For certain items and some situations, the 25% return fee may be assessed within this 30-day window.

How is the return fee calculated?
The return fee will be a minimum 25% of the original items transaction total, including discounts. In the instance you are returning a single item from an order that included multiple items, the return fee will be calculated based on the transaction amount of the single applicable item.

Are shipping costs included in the 25% return fee?

Shipping costs are not included in the return fee and will be the responsibility of the returner, unless the need to return an item is due to Stem Education LLC error (such as shipping an incorrect item).

When will I be assessed a return fee?

You, the purchaser, will incur a return fee for any item you are attempting to return outside of the regulatory 30-day window from receipt of the item. It is important that you check the contents of your package(s) immediately, even if the product will not be utilized right away.

In the instance that an item cannot be directly returned into Stem Education LLC inventory (for example, product or components removed from original packaging or items broken from purchaser misuse), regardless of the regulatory 30-day window from receipt of item, the original purchaser/returner will incur a return fee.

The purchaser will also incur a return fee for any item requiring special packaging or shipment needs, such as large items that require a pallet for shipment or shipping methods other than general UPS Ground (such as Freightliner).

In the instance the need to return an item is a result of Stem Education LLC’s error, the returner will not be charged a return fee or be responsible for resulting shipping costs.

What can be returned?

Any nonconsumable, unopened item directly purchased through Stem Education LLC and received within the past 30 days, not including the items listed in the following “What can’t be returned?” section, may be returned.

What can’t be returned?

Any item damaged from deterioration or malfunction resulting from accident, misuse, neglect, or failure to comply with the manufacturer’s supplied instructions is not returnable.

Stem Education LLC does not accept returns of the following items:

  • Opened software
  • Hazardous items, including rocket engines
  • Any product missing the original packaging
  • Items that are broken due to user neglect, accident, or misuse
  • Any consumable item that has been used, unless the contents have been deemed as faulty

Credits and Refunds

We can process credits and refunds only for items directly purchased from and fulfilled by Stem Education LLC. If you need to return an item, please call (337) – 249 1407 or email ioannisomos@gmail.com. For more details surrounding our return policy, please visit the Returns section on this page.

For items purchased via a third-party channel, please contact your direct representative to discuss a refund. Stem Education LLC is happy to serve as a liaison to assist in the process; however, since the transaction took place with the third-party, they will need to initiate the credit or refund for the transaction.

How long does it take to receive my credit or refund?

Credits and refunds are processed after your return item has been received into our inventory. You should expect to receive your refund within 10-15 business days of providing your package to the return shipper; however, in most cases you will receive a refund more quickly.

This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return item from the shipper (5 to 7 business days) and the time it takes us to process your return when we receive it (3 to 5 business days). In cases where a refund will be applied to an external account or credit card, please refer to your accounts processing policy to determine the immediateness that the funds show as available on your account.

When the transaction has been processed, our Accounting department will notify you via email of your credit memo or refund.

How will my credit or refund be issued?

In most cases, for non-credit card transactions, our Accounting team issues a credit memo to your Stem Education LLC account that can be applied toward future orders or other unpaid invoices. For credit card transactions within the normal 30-day window, our Accounting team can easily refund your credit card account; however, transactions outside of this window might require you to provide our Accounting team with the credit card account details to apply the credit back to your account. If you would prefer to receive a refund, our Accounting team would be happy to accommodate. You should specify this request during your conversation regarding your return with our Order Support team.

How much of a credit or refund will I receive?

The amount of your credit or refund will depend on a variety of factors. In most cases for general returns that are covered under our warranty and return policy and requested within the appropriate 30-day window, you should receive a credit or refund in full for the total amount of the original transaction – including tax, if applicable, and minus return shipping if the return is not a result of Stem Education LLC error.

If a return is initiated after the 30-day window after the date of purchase, the return transaction may result in a 25% return fee that will also be deducted from the total credited or refunded amount. Please refer to the Returns section of this page to learn how and when this return fee is calculated and applied.

Who is responsible for return shipping?

If the return is initiated by a customer request that was not a result of Stem Education LLC’s error, the customer will be responsible for the cost of return shipping. This total will be deducted from the total credited or refunded amount.

In the instance the return is a result of Stem Education LLC error, the customer will not be responsible for any return shipping costs, and the customer should receive a credit or refund in full for the total amount of the original transaction – including tax if applicable.

What if I need only a credit or refund for a single item from a multi-item order?

If you returned only one item from a multi-item shipment, you will be reimbursed only for the item you returned, minus shipping if applicable.

What if my original transaction included a discount?

If you return any items from an order that received FREE shipping, the original shipping savings associated with the returned item(s) does not apply to a return shipment.

If you return an item which utilized a promotional discount, you will not be refunded the amount of the item’s original price; you will be refunded the total amount of the original discounted transaction – including tax if applicable.
