This data’s information is utilized to successfully manage assets, resources, and services. In exchange, this information is used to improve city operations. This includes information gathered from citizens, devices, buildings, and assets that is processed and analysed in order to monitor and manage traffic and transportation systems, power plants, utilities, water networks, waste, criminal investigations, information systems, schools, libraries, hospitals, and other community services. Smart cities are described as such in terms of how their governments use technology as well as how they monitor, evaluate, plan, and administer the city.
