Early Simple Machines
10-11 years old
In the Automation Engineers training program, children create their first Automations as well as their first physical computing applications! From controlling the movement of a structure with a switch to controlling motion with sensors and programming, children collaborate to solve a real-world problem. They also work on their creations and learn how to present their results! Electronic sensors replace human sensory organs, electric motors drive action, and children program processors for the first time. They gather data from their surroundings by measuring temperature, brightness, volume, and so on. The construction aspect is present in all the above because the Automation is harmoniously integrated with the children’s constructions.
The perfect harmony of programming and construction is achieved for their construction to solve problems in people’s lives. The children deepen their programming knowledge by following teaching scenarios based on the story-based learning method and are introduced to the world of measurements (Micro:bit), and the exciting journey into Automation continues!
